101 Reasons Christian Give For Not Going To Church
As a pastor over the years I have heard many people give me reasons why they can't come to church. As a pastor I see that often the motivation in the lives of other is anything other that putting Christ first.
People are motivated by their own comfort, their own pleasure, by what they want in its variety of forms. Instead our motivation should be to love Christ, to learn what pleases Him, to join with the saints in fellowship. These things done out of a right motivation bring blessing. The wrong motivation - even if we DO attend church - only brings us bondage, or at best insulates us from God's best.
So here is a work in progress of 101 reasons (or excuses) that Christians give for not attending church. I'm only halfway thorugh the list - so if you think of any to add to it, just add a comment or email me and let me know.
