God doesn't Change - People Do

The Circumstances of life often dictate our responses - for most people anyway. We change like the winds and often are easily impressed with little things and hardly moved by things of significance.

But God never changes - He is always the way He is.

In the beginning God was creative, magnificent and kind. He is benevolent, thoughtful and considerate of all things. He doesn't act out of interest in one person (you or me) only but out of love and interest in all people. He is always like this.

But we don't see that - we only see it how it seems right now. So God is NOT how we think he is right at this moment. He is always the way He was.

When you have a traffic accident and all you can see is steam from the radiator. God is still the same - he is not pertubed, and you can call upon His name.

When you are having a birthday party and all is well - God is still the same and is waiting for you to notice Him.

In the good, the bad and the ugly, Christ is there, always the same, never changeing. That's comforting, but also a call to us that if He never changes, then for things to be right in our lives, someone must change. That someone is us.
