May 30, 2005: Renovation Rescue:

We also have plasterers in the Chalet (my childrens nickname for the flat we have on my folks property) and they are "impoving" my attempt at plasterering from several years ago. I used to work in the building industry for a company called Affordable Quality Homes, and became confident at most kinds of practical work, but plastering was something in which I defeinitely lacked the touch. In fact for this very reason I won't show any pictures during this blog. (laughs as types) Truth be know, I actually did impove at plastering as I kept working at it, but I am very slow and methodical whereas the professionals are able to come in and do it all in a day or two. So after they leave, it will be time for painting. However I don't want to mislead anyone..........my folks are paying for the improvements, its not any television show or anything quite so flashy like that. There's a big conference coming up that my folks are hosting and we want the "Chalet" in tip top condition to put some guests in there during their stay at the conference.
