Many parts of the world are experiencing terrible food shortages. In fact about 1 billion people in this world live on less than $1 per day. There is good information about this, and similar statistics on Wikipedia.

If you gave up $1 a day, you could feed a whole family with that.

I recently visited www.globalrichlist.com and found out that I’m in the top 3% of people in the world in terms of wealth.  I know I don’t “feel” wealthy because I have to watch my money and be careful in many ways – but most people have less than me, so I’m blessed.
